'Free Spirit' is an oil painting on 80cmx60cm canvas.

This painting captures the journey of emerging from darkness into freedom- a visual reflection of moving through life's hardest chapters.

The deep, swirling shades of grey and black that dominate much of the painting represents the heavy, confusing times; moments of struggle and uncertainty.

Yet, cutting through this shadow is radiant glow of soft gold and warm white, blooming at the centre like light breaking through clouds. This symbolise's the moment of realisation- the point where, even amid the hardship, you catch sight of something brighter, something that touches your heart and reminds you there is more ahead. 

It is the feeling of finally seeing a way forward, of feeling warmth return when everything felt cold and dark.

The bird soars freely through the air even after enduring the storm, and refuses to be held back.

The bird does not flee the darkness- it rises above it, showing that having known the depth of struggle only makes the freedom to fly more precious and profound.

Together, the elements tell a story of resilience; that even when you walk through the darkest times, the light you  find along the way becomes the strength that sets you FREE.
